Free switching between two modes

Two mode of Sonata HD II can be selected, either “Call mode” or "Pure music mode".

When connected with a pair of earphones WITH Microphone, it is under the “Call mode”, you can anwser phone call through Sonata HD II. if use a pair of earphones WITHOUT Microphone, it enters the “Pure music mode”.

Tip: Please plug your earphones into Sonata HD II first, then put them together into your mobile phone or computer.

No need to change firmware when you want to switch between “Call mode” and “Pure music mode” , just use different earphones.

Instructions

1. Sonata HD Ⅱ can be compatible with most of the Android phones which has TYPE C interface on the market. Please make sure that you have turned the “OTG function” and “USB debugging mode” on of your android phone. Please find these two switches under “developer options” on your phone first.

2. Sonata HD Ⅱ is a plug-and-play device on the Apple computer system (Type-c port), please select it as the default audio output device in the "MIDI device" after connecting the product. (In this case, does not support DSD music, supports PCM music)

3.Sonata HD Ⅱcan work directly on windows system which is latter than WINDOWS 10 (version 1703) without installing any USB audio driver, Support plug and play.

Sonata HD II cannot be directly inserted into the PC/Laptop.

Because of the high current, it will damage the Sonata HD II .

Sound Quality
The overall presentation of the Sonata HD II is fairly natural,with asweet tonality, good soundstage, and excellent overall details whenyou consider that it costs 30 USD.I noticed that it doesn't have a lot ofpower,so it would be best to connect it to IEMs rather than headphones, and even there it may struggle if the IEM is powerhungry. I was able to use it with FiiO FD1,Tingker TK300,KB EarAurora,Earsonics ONYx, and TRN VX PRO.

The Bass of Sonata HD II is clean, fairly natural in presentation andhas good overall substance.They don't have any particular colorationin the bass, so their sound is usually within what I consider to benatural,most IEMS sound just right out of them, and the bass hasgood overall nuance.

The midrange of Sonata HD II is a bit more intriguing than the bass,because it has a low output impedance, and I noticed absolutely nobackground noise and no hissing with any of the IEMs I tried it with. Ialso noticed that it has a particularly sweet tonality for its sound, withgood presentation of pianos and female voices.The soundstage isclean and wide,with a fair amount of depth.Detailing is superb for 30uSD and it heavily beats my windows machine, which has a 30o uSDmotherboard,and it also tends to be cleaner and more resolute thanmy Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Smartphone.

The treble is naturally extended, has good overall presence and hassurprisingly low roll-off for a Dongle DAC AMP of its price. Basically,brighter music will come through as brighter and darker music willsound darker, making Sonata HD II pretty perfect for most IEMs.

Value and Conclusion
Given the rather low price of just 30 uSD for the Sonata HD II, it canbe said to have a superb overall price to performance ratio, and it hasactually good detail, good build quality, and low power draw,making itone of the better dongles out there.It doesn't have a lot of power, butthe sound is clean and detailed considering that you're paying far lessfor it than for most dongle DAC/AMPs.
